Taser gun is a special self defense weapon that defends you perfectly against an attacker. It is a small electroshock weapon that has become extremely popular.
People rely on it as their defender against the attackers. So far, it has lived up to the expectations. In a self defense situation, it works brilliantly and ensures the survival of the users.
Though it is not a lethal weapon, it can deliver a powerful electrical shock. As a result, it can immobilize the attacker. However, no long term injury is caused. In 2020, it has been a top choice for the people to battle the attackers.
I have come up with an explanation of a taser gun. I will show you how it works, how it is different from other weapons, and how it is an ideal self defense weapon.
How a Taser Gun Works?
A Taser gun is shaped like a pistol or a gun. It is usually quite small and has a trigger attached to it. You have to pull that trigger to deliver a powerful electrical shock.
There are two electrodes that are fired from it. They travel to some distance and touch the body of the attacker. As they touch the body of the attacker, they work to give a strong electrical shock to immobilize him.
Is Taser a Stun Gun?
Taser sounds like a stun gun, but is actually a different weapon. Yes, both are electroshock devices. The differences lie in the shape of the two devices and their working mechanism.
As mentioned above, tasers tend to shoot electrodes that touch the body of the attacker to give an electrical shock. Stun gun is slightly different. It is not shaped like a pistol or gun.
It is available in shaped like lipsticks, flashlights, and rings etc. There are two prongs on these devices. When you touch these prongs to the attacker’s body, they deliver a strong electrical shock. So, a taser is an electroshock weapon, but not a stun gun.
How is Taser an Ideal Defender?
- Easy to Carry
The greatest benefit of a taser gun is that it is easy to carry. It is usually too small that it fits perfectly into the pocket. Though it is shaped like a pistol, it is a very small pistol that can be carried easily in the pocket.
There is no weight at all, and hence, you feel comfortable while carrying it. Also, it is safe to carry because unless you pull the trigger, it does not deliver electrical shock. So, no accidental damage as well.
- Easy to Use
Taser is the easiest weapon to use against the attackers. There is just a trigger that you need to pull to do the damage. When you face an attacker, stand at a distance and pull the trigger.
The electrodes would be fired from the gun and as they touch the body of the attacker, electrical shock is given to him.
- Greater Reach
The advantage with taser is that it offers an extended reach. It can be used from a distance. There is no need to go closer to the attacker. You can stay a safe distance away from him.
It has a reasonably good range. So, you can target him from a distance. After all, heading towards him will be the most dangerous move.
- Quick Damage
Taser gun inflicts quick damage. As the two electrodes fired from it touch the body of the attacker, a powerful electrical shock is delivered straight away.
This results in immobilization of the attacker. It is hard for him to get back on his feet once he is down after a powerful shock. So, this makes a taser gun an ideal defender against the attackers.
